see it on the brain →I'm a software engineer at PayPal, in its Cloud Center of Excellence. I'm also the technical co-founder of 6Keywords, a small company that builds law-firm intelligence from public web data. And I work on fMRI and EEG analysis with two research groups in the University of Michigan's Department of Anesthesiology.
I graduated from Michigan in April 2026 with a B.S. in cognitive science and computer science. Before that I studied at Arizona State.
Outside of that I've made a programming language you write in Chinese, a way to change slides with hand gestures, and this site. They're on Projects, along with the research.
I used to play the mobile rhythm game Arcaea seriously. The site's name, aegleseeker, and the music page both come from there.
Aegleseeker is a song in the game by Silentroom vs Frums. Aegle(αἴγλη) is Ancient Greek for “brightness,” “dazzling light” or “glory,” and several figures in Greek myth share the name, so the title means roughly “light seeker.” In the game it's the song of Lagrange, the girl in the Esoteric Order side story, who walks past the frayed edge of Arcaea's tapestry of memories into the Void, “the world of black,” to find what lies beyond it.
These days I'm most interested in how people use AI tools, and in computational cognitive neuroscience.
This site
The brain on the front page is mine: a structural MRI, taken when I was 20, which I ran through the processing pipeline myself. The scan came as three stacks of thick slices, so a super-resolution model (ECLARE) fills in the slices between them. Most of what you scroll through is its estimate, not a direct measurement. Other open-source tools labeled the regions (SynthSeg, FastSurfer, CerebNet).
I also tried several brain-age models on it. Their estimates ranged from about 15 to 60. SynthBA, which is built to handle thick-slice scans like this one, said 21.5.
Each page sits on one region, and the italic line under each title says what that region is involved in. No region does just one thing.
